First, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your support. Since September, I’ve been consistently busy with commissions, and I’m incredibly thankful to have the opportunity to create artwork that means so much to so many of you.
As we head into 2025, I’ll be implementing some changes to my pricing and commission process. These adjustments reflect my growth as an artist, the value of my time and work, and my commitment to providing exceptional art for my clients.
What’s Changing
Price Increase: My commission prices will increase to reflect the growth within my art career and the demand for my work. With my schedule being so booked, I’ve found it challenging to bridge the gap between my creativity and the work that needs to be finished. This adjustment ensures I can dedicate the time and focus necessary to create meaningful, high-quality art.
Selective Projects: Moving forward, I’ll be more discerning about the projects I take on to ensure I’m inspired and able to bring my full creativity to every piece. This includes thoughtful consideration of modifications and ensuring each commission aligns with my artistic style.
Clarifying Expectations for Commissions
Over the past year, I’ve learned a lot about the importance of clear communication and mutual respect in the commission process. While I strive to collaborate closely with my clients and provide updates throughout the creation process, there have been instances where a project lost alignment despite multiple approvals and accommodations.
As much as I aim to meet my clients' visions, it’s essential that the work remains authentic to my artistic style and process. Unlimited revisions or repeated major changes not only impact the creative flow but also take away from the integrity of the work. Moving forward, I want to ensure my clients understand that while I’m open to collaboration, my role as an artist is to bring their ideas to life through my perspective and expertise.
The 2025 price adjustments reflect this commitment. They are designed to attract clients who value the collaborative process, respect my boundaries, and trust in my ability to create meaningful art. By doing so, I can continue producing work that inspires both myself and my clients while maintaining the creative authenticity that defines my practice.
Projects That Inspire Me
As I move forward in 2025, I’m focusing on commissions that resonate deeply with my creative vision and allow me to bring my full artistic energy to the table. Here are the types of projects I’m most excited to work on:
Portraits: Capturing the essence and individuality of people remains a cornerstone of my work. This includes solo portraits, couple portraits/weddings (I love love) and even family portraits.
Subject Matter Related to Forced Witness: Themes of resilience, collective experience, and poignant storytelling continue to inspire me.
Mixed Media Projects: I love experimenting with textures and unconventional materials to create unique, layered pieces. I would love to work with more clients who trust me to use mixed media in a way that makes their project sparkle, figuratively and literally.
Lively Scenes: Whether it’s the energy of a concert, the vibrancy of a festival, or dynamic group interactions, I thrive on bringing these moments to life.
Esoteric Themes: Tarot cards, astrology, dreams, fantasy, and the unknown are areas I’d love to explore further as a form of personal and creative discovery.
Memes: Creative, humorous projects that combine pop culture with art are always welcome!
If you’re envisioning a project that fits into one of these categories, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s collaborate to create something extraordinary!
A Note on Policies
Please note that the prices listed are for the artwork itself and do not include taxes, shipping, or other potential costs such as framing or expedited delivery. These will be calculated and communicated separately based on your location and specific project needs.
For commissions under $1,000, full payment is required upfront to secure your order. For orders over $1,000, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin the process, with the remaining balance due before the artwork is shipped or delivered. My website now offers Afterpay, Affirm and Klarna in addition to the pay structures I have had in place since my website launched.
If you have any questions about the pricing, process, or policies, please refer to my Store Policies for detailed information.
If we’ve worked together before, I truly appreciate your understanding and continued patronage. All existing quotes will be honored through their specified expiration dates. If your quote has expired, I’d be happy to provide an updated one that reflects the new pricing structure.
If you’ve been considering a project, now is the perfect time to let me know. I’m happy to work with you before the price increase goes into effect in January 2025. Thank you for being part of my artistic journey—I look forward to collaborating with you to create something extraordinary!
