Last weekend, I drove 7.5 hours down I-35 from Minnesota to Kansas City to meet a special friend. This is the girl who has been taking most of the Up-Down pictures I've been painting. I had a really great time, the weather was fair and I got to see a new part of the country I've never been to. The people I got to meet were extremely friendly and accommodating. They say "Minnesota Nice" is a thing but I'm convinced the people in KC have that beat. I literally never would've found any excuse to go to Kansas other than taking the long way west. I love to travel, and now I've been to 18 states THIS YEAR. Maybe some people think that's silly or irrational in the middle of a pandemic but most of those were just en route to another destination. I'm an introvert, I like doing most things by myself and I just really love to travel.

I painted this specifically for my friend I was visiting.
Anyway, I am pleased to announce I will be returning to KCMO next month to see my paintings "Flag Painting 2" and "Have a Nice Day" displayed at the Jones Gallery, 1717 Walnut St, #1315, Kansas City, MO, 64108 from November 4-26, 2020. I have linked the website for more information here. I likely will be there opening weekend, so if you're from around the KC area, come on by and check it out!
My second show is at the Robbin Gallery, 4915 N 42nd Ave, Robbinsdale, MN 55422 from November 5-December 5, 2020. I have linked the website for more information here.
I also have been on this year's artist roster for Pancakes and Booze since the beginning of this year, the show was scheduled for March and cancelled for obvious reasons, then May, August and now. I am really hopeful it doesn't get cancelled again because this is where I was going to bring some of my funky lowbrow art. The date the website says as of today is November 13 at the Minneapolis Lumber Exchange, 10 S 5th St #300, Minneapolis, MN 55402. I'm pretty sure there is some kind of entry fee, but you get pancakes AND booze, so that's pretty neat. I have linked the website for more information here.
